The new iPhone 14 also has satellite SOS capability built in. It comes with a free 2 year subscription. They trigger SOS calls to 24/7 staffed global emergency response teams as long as you have a view of the sky. Depending on the unit, you can also text with the responders and send messages to a limited number of personal contacts.
