How to Change the Brightness of Your iPhone's Flashlight

Do you find your iPhone's flashlight to be too bright (or dim)? Fortunately, you can adjust its brightness to your liking.

The flashlight on iPhones is one of those critical features you may take for granted until needed. For most people, it's not something you'll need daily. However, when you do, you might find it dim or too bright for your use case.

In this guide, we'll show you how to adjust the brightness of your iPhone's flashlight to suit your needs.

Besides turning on and off the flashlight on your iPhone, iOS allows you to adjust the flashlight's brightness as well. Here's what you need to do:

If you can't see the Flashlight button, you need to customize the Control Center on your iPhone first to add it. Go to Settings > Control Center, then tap the Plus (+) adjacent to Flashlight to add it to Included Controls. When you open the Control Center again, the toggle will be available.

Adjusting the brightness of your flashlight comes in handy in various scenarios. First, if you feel you can't see clearly with the flashlight enabled, increasing the brightness will help bump up visibility.

You might also need to reduce the brightness to save battery life on your iPhone. This is true, especially if you know you'll use the flashlight for a while but don't have a power backup or are away from a power outlet.

Depending on different situations, you might find the flashlight on your iPhone either too dim or too bright. Thankfully, you can change this to suit your needs via the Control Center in iOS by following the procedure above.
